Lesson 26 More Giggle Juice Besides Champagne, France also produces Limoux (Southwest), Saumur (Loire Valley) Cremant d’Alsace, and Cremant de Bourgogne sparkling wines. Cava, one of the most famous sparkling wines in the world, comes from Spain. Asti Spumante, Moscato d’Asti, and Method Champenoise styles in Lombardy all come from Italy. Germany has Sekt, Israel has Blanc de Blancs, Australia has Sparkling Shiraz, and the USA produces sparkling wine of all quality levels both in California and New York State. |
