If there is someone in your organization who knows English, but is difficult to understand, our Accent Reduction Program is just what is needed. This program helps the student:

Our Accent Reduction programs help people modify their speech so that their English is more understandable by native English speakers.

The Program

Workplace Language has teamed with ALTA Language Services, Inc., the leader in English Accent Reduction, to offer this on-line, self-teaching approach to accent reduction. The program consists of two parts:

  • An Initial Assessment - The student is sent a reading that contains all of the possible pronunciation problems that an ESL (English as a Second Language) student could have. We provide a telephone number that the student calls to read the reading. We record what the student reads and analyze the accent problems that the student has. We then send this analysis to the student. With this analysis the student knows exactly what his/her accent problems are.
     

  • On-line Lessons - The student is given a USERNAME and PASSWORD for three months of access to our online accent reduction materials. These materials contain all of the lessons that the student needs to correct his/her accent. With the assessment directing the student to those lessons where he/she has problems, a motivated student can make significant progress in improving his/her accent.

If you have five people who need accent reduction, we also offer a group program. The group program is available at a reduced price per participant and includes an individual assessment for each participant and group access to the online materials.
